SEVENSTOCK 14 PHOTOS, PART 2. FAIRPLEX POMONA CA. ROTARY MEET, OCT 29,2011. Mazda racing, wankel, rotary, Datsun.

What up? Back with Part 2 from Sevenstock 14.
Just want to say Congrats to SoCal RX Club for organizing such a cool and successful event. If you didn't see your car it's not because I thought it sucked or anything. There's just too many cars to shoot and it takes a while to go through them. Hit me up at the next event and I will be happy to take some shots of your car. If you're going or know of a cool event, drop me a line. My Email is posted on the top header pic of this site or just leave a comment on the latest post.

   P.S.
I just started this blog in January 2011. Since then, things have been progressing exponentially. I started it because I love photography, cars, people and events. I don't get paid to do this. Its all on my own dime and time to travel around to different events. I would really appreciate if you could take a moment to show my blog some support. It's super easy to do and you won't get spam. Just click on the (Follow) Google friend connect button in the top right column and enter your Email. It's that easy. Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions hit me up. If there is a problem and it won't let you follow please let me know. Thanks....Phillip A, Kounterkultured.

Freak snow storm on the east coast. Freaking nice weather on the west coast. Where would you like to live?

Red and Green are the only colors missing for a complete rainbow.

Nice!

Love the look of this 2nd Gen FC RX-7.

The Homie Aron from DSport with his youngin.

The California Palms make it look like a post card.

Convertibles may not be the most performance oriented choice but It's perfect for the west coast.

Really? Brave claim.

Fatlace.

Man, I love the front fenders on this Mazda RX8. Equipped with a Mazdaspeed front end.

Simple yet clean!

Nice wheel choice!

Anyone know the make and price on these wheels?

Old school cool. Body kit is nice. Maybe needs an Inch drop?

Fellow photog Paul from Urban Racer.

Very nice but I can't not think of Bumble Bee.

Sick engine bay!

The wheels and exposed brakes really grabbed my attention. Love the 510's.

Wow. Awesome brake package.

Brembo calipers on 2 piece rotors. Sick!

Beautiful engine.

The engine bay ?

Better add a 2 in front of that 96.

What do you think, Matte finish or Glossy? In this case I say Glossy. (wheels). Maybe reversed. Matte on Glossy wheels.

I see three exhaust ports. Does that make it a three rotar motor? No. I was informed It's the newer Renesis  side Exhaust motor.

Atkins Rotary doing a live demo.

Love this model.

Really guy's? Sleeping? Nice matching pants and shoes by the way. Cute!

What else can you say but Dope!

Chrome, white and black. Looks great, super clean.

Raffle time.

Winner! Best FC RX-7. Good for you Ryan.

SEVENSTOCK 14 PHOTOS, PART 1. FAIRPLEX POMONA CA. ROTARY MEET, OCT 29,2011. Mazda racing, wankel, rotary, Datsun.

Wankel Paradise! This Saturday I had the pleasure to attend the annual SoCalRX club's Sevenstock 14 meet. For the first time Sevenstock unleashed the festivities on the history rich grounds of the Pomona Fairplex. Much like the Pomona fairplex; Sevenstock 14 is a celebration of the rich history and progress of the rotary engine and all things related.

The weather was warm and sunny but the cars that made the trip were straight up Hot! Sevenstock is the largest all rotary meet that draws Rotary fans and enthusiast from all over the world.  I myself have always been intrigued by the design and simplicity of the Wankel engine. Most people commonly refer to this type of engine as a "Rotary engine". Designed in 1929 by German engineer Felix Wankel; the Rotary engine is a totally different type of internal combustion engine. There's no Heads, cams, valves, connecting rods or pistons for that matter. The design of the Wankel engine was ahead of it's time. Due to the design of the "Rotary" engine and the lack of reciprocating parts the rotary engine is smooth and capable of continuous high RPM's, perfect for auto racing.

Check out this video on how a Rotary engine works.

Another day in Cali. I don't know much about Mazda's or Rotary's so please excuse me if I get or name things wrong. Feel free to correct me at any time.

This ride is sick!

I guess he or she likes Sponge Bob. I kind of looks like a girl though.

Love the old Mazda trucks.

Little Beast!

Not sure what this is. You know?

Datsun Wagon is dope!

Awesome!

I'm starting to see a lot of these lowered Skateboards.

Super Dope RX8!

Love the wheel choice on this RX8.
