HISTORIC SPORTS CAR RACING. JUNE 25, 2011. 10th ANNIVERSARY HSR WEST RACES, PHOTO COVERAGE. AUTOCLUB SPEEDWAY, FONTANA CA. (HISTORIC SPORTS CAR RACING) WEST.

What up everyone? It's been some time since my last post. Life has been really crazy lately. This weekend I had the pleasure to attend the HSR (Historic sports car racing) west event at Autoclub Speedway, Fontana ca. I didn't know what to expect having never been to an HSR West event. I have been told that HSR West is a small chapter from a much larger book in the East. Due to the economy a lot of racers that normally come from the east coast chose not to make the annual trip. It cost a lot of money to race for a weekend locally. Then to add a 4000 mile round trip from the east coast is too much. The event consisted of mostly family owned and operated race teams. I did see a few large company sponsored race teams. There was so much diversity when it came to race cars, set-ups and horsepower. There were cars and styles to please almost all car enthusiast. It was a great time and i would recommend that you check out HSR if it comes near your town. More pics from HSR West coming soon. Look at this mix of race cars in this qualifying race. Porsche, Lotus Evora, Mazda Rx7, some old Euros and others.

VW 1.8 liter sohc powered.                

Dude this carbon fiber front splitter was like 5-6 inches long. Not to mention the design of the front end. Can you say mega downforce?

They even had NASCAR style race cars. These things are no joke. Loud and fast!

The Datsun 510 had a good showing. There were a hand full of top level race cars. 

Dopeness! An American icon in racing.  Ford, Boss 302. This thing looked so good and sounded awesome on the track.

19TH ANNUAL YAMAHA DEALER SERIES. MOTOCROSS RACING AT GLEN HELEN. PHOTO COVERAGE. JUNE 5TH 2011. YAMAHA, HONDA, KAWASAKI, SUZUKI.

This past weekend was full of  great events to cover. Wekfest is one of the most desirable import car shows to attend. The best of the best make a rare appearance at this car show. Sundays event at  Long Beach Queen Mary is one of  Wekfest's  four us stops. Also going on was the 19th annual Yamaha Dealer series, round 3(motocross). Since most of my recent post have been on cars and car shows I opted to attend the Yamaha Dealer series motocross event. The Yamaha dealer series is a competition among 21 Yamaha dealers around southern California. They're battle is mostly for bragging rights and Yamaha Dealer series cup. Here are  a few photos from the event.
