2011 SEVERED TIES AND KINETIK STREET TRUCK SO CAL SHOW. CUCAMONGA - GUASTI PARK, ONTARIO CA. Mac Springs, grindertv, hoppos, severed ties,no regrets, extreme audio, chassis, trucks.

What's up everyone? First I would like to take this time to thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog. It's been a week since my last post and I have been a bad boy. Just kidding, as I re-read what I'm writing it kind of sounded like a catholic confession. "Say three hail Mary's and pass the ammunition. I don't know which movie I heard that on but I thought it was funny, (sorry catholics). Anyways, this weekend I had the pleasure to attend  a truck meet organized by the legendary truck club Severed Ties. For those of you who have not heard of Severed Ties get a clue. That's just joke, I kid I kid. I have no idea why I'm doing bad impressions of Triumph the insult comic dog. Severed Ties is an international truck/car club with chapters all over the united states and other countries. When I was in high school, "92-"96  I can remember seeing their logos on some dopest trucks around at that time. Mini Trucks have always been about being super low and crazy paint schemes. Back then the mini truck scene was really strong. As time went on the scene kind of faded some. You have to keep in mind that birth of the Mini Truck scene was birthed in the early 80's, that's a long run. Back then if you wanted to have a stand out vehicle you had to have hydraulic suspension and a "dancing bed". In my opinion, back then the Mini Truck scene  kind of got silly. Then there was a huge surge in popularity or a "rebirth" in early 2000 when the Air bag suspension systems replaced hydraulics. Hydraulics are still really popular today but only on "Gangsta Rides" not Mini Trucks. Air bag suspension systems are no new thing. They have been in use since the 60's for heavy equipment and commercial use. As a "OG" Mini Trucker myself (pre air bag) I kind of got irritated with this influx of new Mini Truckers who thought they were cool with their crappy looking air bag equipped trucks. I couldn't drive a day without some newbie Mini Trucker "flexing" on me. At the time it only made me hate Air Bags more. That's why they never ended up on my truck. I was always drawn more to the performance of a vehicle rather than coolness. Today I would consider getting air bags. The technology has grown by leaps and bounds. The cost of an air suspension now-adays has come down tremendously. Air suspension has become so popular and reliable that you can find it on some of today's elite production vehicles.

At this weekends Severed Ties show I couldn't find a truck or other without air bags. It's become the norm. The trend has even spilled over to high end luxury car/Import scene. Just like most trends in life air bags have gone full circle. Now Mini Truckers are going back to hydraulics in order to stand out. Check out the pics from this weekends Severed Ties show and let me know your thoughts. If I'm wrong with anything I've said then correct me. Please feel free to comment. Thanks.... Phillip A

90's era Chevy full size.

Taillight's are mounted on what looks like actually Skill Saw blades being held up with  wrench's.

Nice Buff primered Toyota!

This simple and clean black Nissan Mini was one of my Favorites.

I really like these stock Infinity wheels. I think they're off an m-class Infinity.

Three Toyota Tacoma Mini's. All were sick!

If you're the owner of this red Tacoma or you know him please hit me up. I would like to do a Mini feature for my blog. Just leave a comment with your contact info.

Love the look of this front end on this Tacoma.

Big girls need love too. Looks like you're speaking from experience.

 Nice Tacoma bro!

Definitely a throw back look.

 Clean Chevy S10.

Love this Nissan Mini. Super clean bro.

Clean and simple interior. Nice!

Wheels look great. Good choice.

Nice little Nissan Hard body.

For me the interior colors were too much.

Chop top on this Toyota looks awesome.

It's hard to see in the photos due to Blogger's non high res uploads but the paint job on this Dodge was beautiful.

Classic Chevy El Camino.

Old school Datsun or Mazda Mini, not sure. I think it's a Datsun though.

Super clean 60's or 70's Chevy full size. Not sure?

It was an awesome event but it was ridiculously hot. It was 104 degrees and humid. More pictures from this weekends Severed Ties show to follow. If your truck was in this post and you would like to have your own feature on my blog please leave a comment with your contact info. Please visit again soon. Thanks...Phillip A
