Hello, is this thing on. It feels like an eternity since my last post. I'm surprised that I even remember how to make a new post. Not that I'm complaining but life has taken me away from one of the things that I really enjoy doing, Photography. Since having my first daughter I've been pulled in every direction except blogging. It's kind of an easy thing to do cause it can be a lot of work.
Besides, does anyone even read the crap I write? It's rhetorical. I already know my answer. This past weekend the 2013 Off road Show made a stop at my local Fairplex, Pomona Ca. I had a couple hours to kill since the wife was planning on going out with the other "hens" to squawk about God knows what. Most likely it would be about how us husbands "don't do enough around the House". Anyways! The show seemed to be a huge success if you were to judge on the sheer number of people. Especially for an off road show.
Nothing is cheap when it comes to off roading or 4x4 trucks, everything is expensive. I guess it makes sense that off road parts would cost more than street use products due to the extreme abuse they must withstand.
If you know anything about the off road seen you'd know it's all about the wild, crazy, loud and the "I don't give a crap I'm drunk" attitude. I would say that's what makes the off road seen unique and so freaking rad. I wish I could say the same about the other auto culture that so prevalent here in So Cal. Too many people are caught up in the whole "form over function" craze. You'd know it better by it's oh so cool and original name, "stance." I think the whole thing has metamorphosed into a vehicular circus side show.
A lot of the rigs at this show were high dollar builds. There were a few shady tree mechanic builds sprinkled in but most vehicles were top notch. Hell, if you can afford to build a race truck of any budget life is treating you good. After all these trucks are luxury items and not necessities.
I had way to many photos to go through so I just picked a handful out some what randomly. I even threw in a few photographs of some worthy trucks I caught in the parking lot on the way to the show. Enjoy!!
